It’s a great day at Satsop Nursery!

Our family purchased the nursery in 1985, and for over 30 years we have been sharing our passion for gardening, landscaping, flowers, and plants with the Elma, WA and Grays Harbor County community.

We offer an extensive selection of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, berries, and more. We, of course, rotate our impressive stock throughout the year as seasons change to ensure everything is always fresh and beautiful. However, we are not just a retailer of plants and trees, we also do a large amount of growing of our own.

We are very proud to be considered the area’s go-to place for gardening tips and information. We use our wealth of knowledge to teach our customers what they can do at their own home to have a successful, gorgeous garden. We love seeing their results and enjoy sharing in their success with our products and advice.

Claudia Peterson, Owner:

Was told to go to the big nursery off of Mud Bay Road. Did that. Not at all helpful. Told me to go to Monrovia and order them online. On my way back to Ocean Shores, I decided to take the back road from Elma to Montesano.  Drove past Satsop Nursery. Turned around and was so happy I did. Beautiful plants! Found 2 different colors of Barberry! 12 of one color for back, 14 of another color for the front! I am so excited! My recommendation would be to wear boots or old shoes because it is a bit goopy. Well, water + dirt...The young lady there was super helpful and even loaded them in my truck. Definitely THE place to go in Gray's Harbor for plants!

What really makes them standout is knowledgeable and helpful the staff is. I often times come without a plant in mind but a location and the horticulturalist will talk through their recommendations. This is a mom and pop nursery so it's not as pristine as the big names, but the employees are super friendly and knowledgeable.  I always prefer to buy local whenever possible.
